 Job Description:

Wireless Test Engineer

Location – Santa Clara, California/Remote

Responsibilities:

  • The feature Tester/system tester has end-to-end responsibility for the testing of specific sub-functional domains/areas (e.g. OAM, Orchestration, Automation, Mobility, etc.) within the 5G solutions team.
  • This includes developing test cases/procedures of modules/functionality, translating functional and non-functional system requirements to functional/system test cases.
  • In collaboration with System engineers, program managers, developers identifies the scope and priority of development Epics to be validated.
  • Has end-to-end responsibility for the features in his/her domain and works with development & system engineering, to make sure integration and validation of feature/functionality is completed and verified according to functional/non-functional requirement.
  • Works with multiple team teams during early phases to understand technical studies and validate prototypes
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of Wireless testing experience 
  • 2+ years of direct experience and deep technical knowledge of 5GNR/ 4G LTE/ 3GPP.
  • Radio Access Network (RAN) - Experience with virtualized 3GPP RAN and/or Core technologies
  • R&D testing experience including various testing tools.
  • Experience in Lab testing.
  • Exposure to QXDM, QPST, Keysight, Anritsu, R&S CMW500 system logs Analysis.
  • Understanding of 3GPP Specification #: 38.523, 36.521, 36.523, 34.121, 51.010, 26.132, 3.8.2
  • Technology – 5G NR, LTE, WCDMA, UMTS, GSM
  • Automation testing on OTA, RF, Protocol, Acoustics on multiple TP
  • Python and Shell Scripting

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with virtualized 3GPP RAN and/or Core technologies
  • Experience with O-RAN architecture and 5G NR standards
  • Experience with common telecom network management systems and related protocols is a plus.
  • Experience with industry-standard virtualization environments (KVM/Openstack/VMWare) and container architectures (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with leading public cloud infrastructure providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Knowledge of ETSI MANO with prior experience integrating virtual software with orchestration solutions is beneficial.
  • Device Testing in Lab Environment.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge
  • Outgoing and easy to cooperate
  • Creativity and ability to independently formulate problems and solve them
