Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Bangladesh
Company Overview: We are a fast-growing furniture manufacturer in Bangladesh, supplying high-quality products to global markets. As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our business operations and drive efficiency across all functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Operations Management:
- Oversee daily business operations and ensure seamless coordination across departments.
- Develop and implement business strategies to optimize production, supply chain, and logistics.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Manufacturing & Production Oversight:
- Ensure high production standards and compliance with international quality requirements.
- Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor KPIs and lead initiatives to enhance productivity and cost control.
- Supply Chain & Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Optimize procurement strategies to maintain cost-effectiveness and supply reliability.
- Ensure compliance with international sourcing standards and sustainability initiatives.
- Team Development & Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Provide strategic guidance to department heads to achieve business goals.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with local and international industry standards.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- Maintain rigorous quality control systems to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Prior working experience in Vietnam is essential.
- Experience working for a company supplying IKEA or similar global retailers is mandatory.
- Strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and business strategy.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to relocate full-time to Bangladesh.
- Fluency in English is required
