Sales Director/Sales Representative (Food Division)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Target products: Coconut products like coconut water, coconut milk/cream, desiccated coconut, coconut oil, coconut door mats, Coir Hanging Baskets and Planters, coconut coir grow bag; Fruits, Veggies (fresh, frozen, dried, freeze dried, canned, puree), beverage, snacks, nuts, seeds with origin from Vietnam.
- Target customers: food and non-food retailers, wholesalers, food service industry, Horeca, private label Customers
- Main task: Engage with new customers, cultivate and expand relationships with existing customers to generate as many orders as possible, surpassing sales targets.
- Thorough understanding of products, production processes, quality management, importing procedures, and supply chain management.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer needs and challenges, and the ability to present compelling solutions and value propositions to customers.
- Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, customer acquisition plans, and a comprehensive business plan encompassing sales, revenue, and expense management.
- Negotiating all trade terms and preparing sales contracts for orders.
- Establish pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
- Compiling weekly and monthly reports.
- Staying well-informed about product trends and competitive dynamics.
- Regularly updating market and customer intelligence, as well as staying informed about new trends.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company programs.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to assess their needs and promote products and services. Also, visiting factories to enhance product knowledge.
- Maintaining client records.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, economics or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales is required, preferably in the food retail, wholesale, food service industry, or with private label customers. Experience with coconut products is highly preferred.
- Experience in sales of Vietnamese items is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing, quality assurance, importing, efficient supply chain management
- Having good relationship with retailers, food service owner, manufacturers as many as possible, and proven good sales performance
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
