AI Innovation Engineer

ABOUT AN OPEN POSITION

We are looking for a creative and hands-on AI Innovation Engineer to join a growing international team and help drive practical AI adoption across software engineering and development processes.

In this role, you will focus on rapid experimentation, AI-powered application development, and implementation of modern AI tools and workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering and delivery teams to prototype innovative solutions and promote AI-driven ways of working across the organization.

YOU WILL:

• Develop rapid prototypes and AI-powered applications using modern AI tools and frameworks;
• Design and optimize prompt engineering solutions for LLM-based systems; 
• Build and experiment with AI-driven frontend and backend solutions; 
• Support adoption of AI coding assistants and modern development workflows; 
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams on internal and client-facing innovation initiatives; 
• Explore and evaluate new AI technologies, tools, and practical implementation approaches; 
• Conduct exploratory analysis and experimentation related to software engineering data and processes;
• Prototype and validate AI/ML concepts when applicable; 
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives; 
• Work in a fast-paced environment with evolving technologies and requirements.

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU WILL BRING:

• 3+ years of experience in software development;
• 1+ years of experience in AI engineering, or related roles;
• Strong Java or Python skills. Experience with both is preferred, or a willingness to learn the second language;
• Experience building software applications and APIs; 
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms;
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools;
• Understanding of modern software development practices and workflows;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and experimentation mindset;
• Good communication and collaboration skills;
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies;
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

WOULD BE CONSIDERED A PLUS:

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow;
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI-powered development tools;
• Experience with Angular or React;
• Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, or LightGBM;
• Experience with AWS Bedrock;
• Experience with Ollama or local LLM deployment;
• Java programming experience;
• Background in software engineering research;
• Statistical modeling or advanced data analysis experience;
• Experience implementing ideas from research papers;
• Experience with Docker containerization;
• Understanding of AI model capabilities and limitations.

For this role, we offer a gross salary range of 2900 – 4200 Eur. The final agreement on salary is based on skills and experience.
