Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge, with hands-on experience in project-based industries such as telecom, construction, or contracting.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day general accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.

Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.

Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice verification, processing, and supplier reconciliations.

Handle project and contract accounting, including project costs, revenue, and cost control.

Prepare and support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Support UAE VAT, tax compliance, and accounting documentation requirements.

Prepare financial and management reports for review by management.

Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Project, Commercial, and Operations teams on financial matters.

Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Meet strict monthly closing and reporting deadlines.

Required Skills & Competencies

CA Inter / CA Intermediate or equivalent accounting qualification.

3–6 years of relevant accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Good understanding of project accounting and cost control.

Experience in telecom, construction, contracting, or other project-based industries is preferred.

Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.

Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software.

Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting documentation.

Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

What We Offer

Salary of AED 6,000 per month.
