Expert Dev-Cloud Engineer

Within our customer we are taking our first steps into the world of public cloud and we want to make it easy for our DevOps engineers to start their journey. While not everyone will move to public cloud at first, we are also striving towards an organization with a cloud native way of working. We are trying to achieve this in multiple ways:

By developing a secure container platform with service mesh to host DevOps teams’ applications. This way we enable DevOps teams to focus on engineering their customer functionality by delivering a platform that’s engineering ready, secure and monitored.

By ensuring that all our customer risk controls are covered in our container platforms. After implementing risk controls and policies in code we want to create a proof of certification that our platform is secure and risk-free.

By starting a team focused on productization, education and inner source way of working in the public cloud. We want our (public) cloud platform engineers to collaborate on a global scale via inner source. We also want to offer help to (public) cloud platform engineers while productizing their platforms to be ready for global consumption.

For each of these topics we are looking for one or multiple engineers. We are looking for engineers with vision and who want to change an organization for the better. Our team philosophy is that we want to make the right thing the easy thing for DevOps engineers. We do not want to enforce standards but create products that are too good and easy to not be used. Good communication and collaboration skills are key for all vacancies as we need to take DevOps engineers on their journey to public cloud.

Eisen/wensen
Skills and knowledge required (must have):

• Knowledge of and experience with containers and container orchestration (i.e. Docker and Kubernetes)
• Experience in Python
• Experience in setting up pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps)
• Experience with a major public cloud provider (Azure preferred)
• Believer and builder of Infrastructure as Code (we do this with Terraform and Helm)
• Experience in helping engineers, either via education, consulting or migration help
