We are looking for a Product Owner to spearhead the development and execution of data analytics solutions for our Procurement Initiative within the Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of procurement processes with expertise in data analytics to drive the creation of tools that enhance decision-making, improve supplier management, and achieve cost efficiencies. As a key leader in our data-driven transformation, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize initiatives, and oversee the delivery of advanced analytics platforms that support organizational goals and procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision for data analytics solutions tailored to the procurement function. Ensure alignment with broader business objectives and procurement strategies to drive efficiency and cost reduction across the supply chain.
- Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Work closely with procurement leaders, IT, and other business units to gather and prioritize requirements for analytics solutions. Translate business challenges into clear, actionable user stories and define product features that meet procurement needs for spend visibility, supplier performance tracking, and process optimization.
- Solution Development & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end development of data analytics tools, including dashboards (Power BI) and reporting systems. Ensure these tools deliver actionable insights on procurement spend, supplier performance, contract compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineering, development teams, and procurement stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of data analytics solutions with procurement systems (e.g., ERP, SAP Ariba, etc). Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment on goals, features, and timelines.
- Continuous Product Improvement: Monitor the performance of analytics tools and gather user feedback to drive ongoing enhancements. Ensure solutions evolve with changing business needs and emerging procurement trends, ensuring that analytics tools continually deliver value.
- Reporting & Insights Delivery: Oversee the creation and delivery of real-time, actionable reports and dashboards to senior leadership, enabling visibility into procurement activities, supplier performance, cost-saving opportunities, and compliance metrics.
- Stakeholder Communication & Management: Manage communication with senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing clear updates on product development, roadmaps, timelines, and progress. Manage expectations and ensure alignment with procurement objectives.
- Agile Product Lifecycle Management: Utilize Agile methodologies to prioritize product backlogs, define features, and manage sprints, ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions that meet business priorities and stakeholder needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in procurement or business analytics is a plus (e.g., CBAP, CSCP, Certified Analytics Professional).
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with a focus on data analytics or data-driven solutions in the procurement or supply chain domains.
- Strong functional background in procurement processes, including spend management, supplier performance, contract management, and procurement optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering analytics solutions, such as dashboards, reporting systems, or data visualization tools.
- Proven ability to define product requirements, create user stories, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Skills:

- Business Intelligence & Data Analytics: Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, and similar BI tools to design and manage interactive dashboards and reports. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel for data querying, analysis, and reporting, enabling effective decision-making with key procurement data.
- ERP Integration & Data Management: Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa) and integrating them with analytics platforms. Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Agile & Product Development: Familiar with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), ensuring efficient project delivery aligned with business priorities.
- Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions that improve procurement processes and drive efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to manage expectations and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Multitasking & Attention to Detail: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments, maintaining a high standard of quality. Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering optimized, scalable solutions.
