Position Overview:
We are looking to employ a CT Technologist who has the expertise to ensure physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. You will take diagnostic images of patients' internal structures using computerized tomography equipment and ensure that patients are correctly positioned and closely monitored during CT scans.
To be successful as a CT technologist, you should keep abreast of the latest industry developments. Ultimately, an exceptional CT technologist should be able to effectively communicate with patients as well as demonstrate compassion and patience at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Patients: Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they are comfortable and properly positioned for the scan.
- Operate CT Equipment: Operate CT scanners to capture images of designated body parts according to physician instructions.
- Ensure Safety: Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Quality Control: Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and image quality.
- Image Analysis: Analyze images to ensure they are of diagnostic quality, and may need to reposition patients or adjust equipment settings as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, patient history, and images.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide diagnostic assistance.
- Patient Care: Provide care and comfort to patients during procedures, and assist with patient transportation as needed.
- Education and Training: Stay updated with advances in CT technology and participate in continuing education to maintain certification and licensure.
Qualifications:
- State license to work as a CT technologist
- Computed Tomography - Certified by the American Registry of radiologic technologists (ARRT)
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology
- CPR and BLS certification
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
- Basic computer skills
- Professional, friendly attitude
