Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our talented team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. - The location is in Waynesville, MO
- The working schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
- The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor
- The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
- Holiday requirements are as needed
- On-call, weekend rotation and floating are not required

Key Responsibilities:
- PTAs assist in assessing patients by observing their movement, strength, flexibility, and overall physical condition
- PTAs carry out the treatment plans created by physical therapists. This may involve exercises, stretches, manual therapy techniques, and the use of therapeutic equipment
- PTAs educate patients on their condition, the purpose of various exercises, and techniques to improve their mobility. They may also provide guidance on at-home exercises and self-care.
- PTAs closely monitor patients' progress and report back to the supervising physical therapist
- PTAs may assist with the application of therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as part of the treatment plan
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress is an essential aspect of a PTA's role
- PTAs provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation process
- PTAs work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistance Certification in the state of practice
- 1 year recent Physical Therapy Assistant experience in a rehab setting
- BLS Certification
