Must have 3+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting. Must have experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections. Free housing is included; 1 bedroom and no pets. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.   • The location is in Fairbanks, AK
  • The working schedule for this role is 12 hours, Days, 0700-1900
  • The duration is as a contactor for 16 weeks
  • The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
  • Floating Requirements: to all departments when necessary
  • Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period
  • On-Call Requirements: 3 shifts in 6-week period
  • Holiday Requirements: Per unit's needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
  • Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
  • Recording patient vital signs and medical information
  • Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  • Administering non-intravenous medications
  • Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members

Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered RN state licensure; AK state license, must apply within 24 hours of accepting assignment. BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring - highly preferred to be active at time of submittal
  • 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
  • BLS/BCLS, ACLS certification
  • Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional, friendly attitude
