Position Overview:
We are looking to employ an Occupational Therapist (OT) who works with individuals to help them participate in the activities of daily life (ADLs) and improve their overall well-being. Your primary goal is to enable people to engage in meaningful and purposeful activities despite physical, developmental, social, or emotional challenges.
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: Assessment, Treatment Planning, Intervention, Client Education, Adaptive Techniques and Equipment, Collaboration, Mental Health Support, Workplace Ergonomics.
As an Occupational therapist, you will regularly collaborate with other disciplines and services at departmental and system levels. You will be expected to independently review outcomes and modify intervention programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Occupational therapists assess the client's physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors that may affect their ability to perform daily activities
- Based on the assessment, OTs develop individualized treatment plans to address specific challenges and goals. These plans may include exercises, activities, and adaptations to enhance independence and function
- Occupational therapists work directly with clients to implement the treatment plans. This may involve therapeutic exercises, activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications
- OTs educate clients and their families about their condition, treatment strategies, and ways to manage daily activities more effectively
- Occupational therapists often recommend and teach the use of adaptive techniques and assistive devices to help individuals overcome challenges and perform tasks independently
- Occupational therapists collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care
- OTs work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges to develop coping strategies, improve social skills, and enhance overall mental well-being
- In occupational settings, OTs may assess and modify work environments to promote safety and productivity for employees
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy Certification in the state of practice
- 1 year recent Occupational Therapy experience in a rehab setting
- BLS Certification
