Our client is seeking sonographers for their healthcare organization. This is a full-time, salaried job opportunity.

The Main Location: Will be in Bronxville, NY. There is a regular work schedule, however, coverage will be needed in Northern Westchester (Hudson Valley and Cortlandt Manor, NY) to support the vacation and sick days of the staff located there as needed. Client releases the working schedule months in advance and believes in quality work/life balance. Ideally a skilled sonographer living between these locations would be a great fit! 

Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. No weekends or holidays.

The Pay: $37.50 - $50.48

Training to be provided. The client is invested in providing what you need to successfully support them and also be successful in this role.

About the role:

  • Localize and recognize difference between health and pathological areas
  • Judge whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
  • Integrate diagnostic sonogram with patients history, medical records and laboratory results
  • Present and prepare preliminary ultrasound findings to attending physician for final report
  • Maintain log of ultrasound test findings
  • Assist the physician with patient care
  • Explain the procedure to the patient, record medical history considered necessary and prepare patient for testing
  • Collaboratively work with billing/secretarial staff with regards to authorizations/charges
  • Provide coverage vacation/sick day coverage at other sites as needed
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Program
  • Candidate must be RDMS or RDMS registry eligible. RDMS eligible graduates from CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education) accredited program must be registered in OB/GYN within 12 months of employment. ARDMS credentials must be maintained yearly
  • OB/GYN experience for a minimum of two years
  • Ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently, evaluate sonogram to acquire diagnostic information, communicate diagnostic information to physicians
