Our client is seeking an experienced facilities Fire Protection Engineer, Responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of fire protection systems for their OSAT factory. This includes fire suppression systems, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, clean agent systems, and integration with life safety systems. The role ensures compliance with NFPA codes, local regulations, and corporate standards while maintaining a safe environment for semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with fire protection design consultants to ensure system requirements and specifications are met.

  • Review fire protection drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress.
  • Support commissioning activities, including functional testing and system validation.
  • Identify and resolve abnormalities during construction and start-up phases.
  • Manage documentation, manuals, and handover processes for fire protection systems.
  • Provide operational and maintenance support for fire suppression systems, alarms, and emergency response systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and corporate safety standards.
  • Perform system capacity planning, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities to meet facility requirements.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to optimize fire protection system performance.
  • Conduct system evaluations and implement improvements through capital and expense projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Support fire safety audits, inspections, and emergency drills.

Provide on-call support in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in fire protection system design and operations, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes, fire suppression systems, and life safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret fire protection drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Fire Alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and alarm integration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in semiconductor facility design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or NICET Fire Protection Certification is a plus.

Knowledge of ISO standards and emergency response planning.
