Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical engineer, Responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical systems for the OSAT factory. This includes medium and low-voltage power distribution, emergency power systems, lighting, facility infrastructure and tools hookup. This role ensures reliable, safe, and efficient electrical power delivery to support manufacturing and cleanroom operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will evolve throughout the project lifecycle, ranging from design and commissioning to full-scale operations, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to each phase.

  • Collaborate with electrical design consultants to ensure system requirements and specifications are met.
  • Review electrical drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress.
  • Support commissioning activities, including equipment preparation, functional testing, and system validation.
  • Identify and resolve abnormalities during construction and start-up phases.
  • Manage documentation, manuals, and handover processes for electrical systems.
  • Provide operational and maintenance support for electrical distribution systems, Arc Flash Studies, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency generators
  • Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and corporate guidelines.
  • Perform system capacity planning, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities to meet dynamic production demands.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to optimize electrical system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Conduct system evaluations and implement improvements through capital and expense projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Apply reliability engineering principles, including FMEA and root cause analysis, to improve system performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering (design and operations), preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency power systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and other relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam, arc flashy study software.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in semiconductor facility design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.
