About the job Superintendent
Our client is seeking a hardworking, experienced construction professional who has excellent communication and organizational skills. To oversee new construction and industrial construction projects at OSHA and MSHA sites.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must have a proven commitment to Safey.
- Must be a dedicated leader in safety and supporting the team through mentoring, training, and succession-planning activities.
- Ability to manage employees and subcontractors in an efficient manner.
- Ensure all works are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate techniques.
- Manage project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Perform safety inspections, and interact with field crews, and our clients, to promote a safe working culture.
- Actively participate in risk management. formal risks, safety analysis, FRA, JHAs, lift plans, and ACE cards.
- Project management skills to include manpower requirements, interviews, timecard approvals, job estimating, client meetings, expense reporting, equipment scheduling requirements, and project reviews.
- Must have a clear understanding of the product lines that we promote and the ability to communicate to customers the features and benefits of each.
- Lead continual development of team members, employee reviews, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Clearly understand company profit expectations and the impact on monthly financials, job closeout, and client turnover.
- This position could require travel and overnight stay depending on the project location.
- Other job duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in the industrial construction field.
- Advanced understanding of MSHA and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to complete cost estimates, read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and create material take-offs.
- Journeyman experience in process installations new construction and equipment replacements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
