Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and support construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed according to specifications, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on site activities.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and site workers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Review technical drawings, plans, and specifications to support construction activities.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and challenges encountered on-site.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, equipment, and resources.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor adherence to project schedules and escalate delays or risks where necessary.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in site engineering, construction supervision, or related roles.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and site operations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or related engineering software is an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.
