Role Summary
The Business Support Officer will work closely with the Managing Director to provide high‑level business, commercial, and operational support within an Engineering and Procurement environment. The role will focus on coordinating tenders and bids, managing documentation, supporting partnerships with OEMs, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency. It is ideal for a smart, tech‑savvy professional who can quickly understand engineering/technology solutions and translate them into clear business documents and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end‑to‑end tender and bidding processes (RFQs, RFPs, EOIs): document collation, compliance checks, form filling, technical/commercial formatting, and on‑time submission.
- Liaise with OEM partners: manage registrations and renewals, update vendor/OEM portals, coordinate NDAs, MOUs, and partnership documentation.
- Assist in preparing and updating company profiles, capability statements, technical proposals and commercial offers for engineering and procurement projects.
- Conduct basic research on projects, clients, competitors and OEM technologies to support bid strategy and presentations.
- Maintain a structured digital filing system for all business documents (tenders, contracts, OEM agreements, certifications, approvals).
- Track tender pipeline and OEM opportunities using Excel/CRM or other digital tools and prepare periodic status reports for the MD.
- Provide general business support as required, including correspondence, minutes of meetings, and follow‑up with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 2–5 years' experience in business support, bid/tender support, sales support, or project coordination, preferably in Engineering, EPC, Oil & Gas services, or Technical Procurement/IT.
- Smart, analytical, and tech‑savvy with strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with online portals and collaboration tools.
- Ability to quickly understand engineering/technology concepts from OEMs and present them clearly in proposals and documents.
