Role Summary
The Brand Promotion Manager will lead the development and execution of brand and promotional strategies to grow market share, strengthen brand equity, and drive demand for the company's manufacturing products. The role owns 360° brand activation across trade, retail, and consumer channels and works closely with Sales, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure strong in‑market execution.
Experience in a manufacturing (non‑food) environment will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual brand promotion plans (ATL, BTL and digital) to support sales and growth objectives for the company's product portfolio.
- Lead 360° campaign planning and execution across traditional media, in‑store activations, trade promotions, outdoor, distributors' activities, and digital touchpoints.
- Define and manage brand guidelines, ensuring consistent visual identity and messaging across all materials, channels, and regions.
- Plan and manage trade marketing activities: POS materials, merchandising standards, dealer/distributor promotions, product launches, exhibitions and industry fairs.
- Work closely with Sales teams to design and execute trade promotions that drive volume, numeric distribution, and visibility at key retail and B2B touchpoints.
- Manage external agencies (creative, media, BTL, research, printers, OOH vendors) and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of campaigns.
- Own the brand promotion budget; track spend vs. plan and report ROI on key initiatives (sell‑out uplift, brand awareness, distribution gains).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or related discipline; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- 10 years' progressive experience in Brand Management/Brand Promotion/Trade Marketing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG.
- Experience working in a manufacturing (non‑food)company (e.g., building materials, plastics, packaging, chemicals, electrical, automotive parts, industrial products) will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian consumer and trade landscape, especially in Lagos and key commercial cities.
- Solid experience managing agencies and marketing suppliers, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, campaign performance, and financial reports, and convert them into clear plans.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and basic marketing analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- High level of resilience, ownership, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
