About the job Utility Specialist

Job responsibilities:

Ensure optimal functionality and performance of all utility equipment to support production requirements at all times. Oversee the servicing, maintenance and repair of all utility equipment (Beverage, Bakery, ETP, WTP) in line with standard operating procedures and ISO 9001 standards.

Ensure effective planning and implementation of preventive maintenance on utility equipment at Beverage, Bakery, ETP, WTP plants to achieve minimum downtime in production process.

Ensure accurate recording and reporting of maintenance activities on all utility equipment.

Ensure all utility equipment are maintained in a “Safe to operate” condition at all times while promoting safe working practices to meet safety and housekeeping objectives.

Ensure regular monitoring of the health status of all utility equipment and recommend and/or coordinate the required maintenance process.

Monitor day-to-day utility consumption operation cost, drive energy conservation initiatives and establish tools for energy efficiency measurement.

Manage changes in process brought by changes in product specifications and productivity requirements.

Ensure full reliability of all utility equipment and recommend spare parts that need to be replaced as and when required. Ensure all utility spare parts are available at all time to prevent prolonged downtime.

Prepare, coordinate and execute overhaul plan of all utility equipment in close collaboration with internal key stakeholders.

Introduce cost savings measures in all utility machines maintenance activities.

Maintain accurate log registry and record keeping of all maintenance and repairs carried out on machineries. Ensure good housekeeping of all utility equipment operating environment.

Ensure continuous improvement in utility equipment management process


Job requirements:

Minimum of B.Eng., BSC, HND (Electrical Engineering) Electrical/Electronics, Control Engineering, Automation

Engineering.

Professional certifications, such as COREN, NSE, IEEE, is

required

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as Utility Specialist, preferably in the manufacturing industry
