Job Title: Grant Writing Consultant 
Focus: Government, Foundation, and CSR Grants (With experience in writing grants
in Africa).

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Writing Consultant with a focus on securing large-scale grants from government entities, foundations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. The consultant will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and ensuring alignment with funders' priorities to secure substantial funding for the foundations initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Opportunity Research:
o Identify and research potential grant opportunities from the government
agencies, foundations, and corporate CSR programs that align with the
foundations mission and projects.
o Stay updated on funding trends and maintain a database of relevant grant
opportunities, including deadlines and application requirements.
Proposal Development:
o Develop well-researched, persuasive, and tailored grant proposals that
effectively communicate the foundations goals, impact, and funding
needs.
o Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and

ensure all proposals include accurate data, budgets, and program details.
o Write clear and compelling narratives that meet funders' specific
guidelines and emphasize the foundation's unique value proposition.
Grant Application Process:
o Manage the full lifecycle of grant applications, including drafting, editing,
and ensuring on time submission in collaboration with ED and Head of
Partnerships
o Ensure all proposals are aligned with funder requirements and are
compliant with application guidelines.
o Maintain a systematic approach to managing multiple grant applications
and deadlines.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the development team to align grant proposals with the
foundations strategic objectives and programmatic goals.
o Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure the
accuracy and relevance of proposal content.
Grant Reporting Support:
o Provide support in preparing interim and final reports for awarded grants
as needed, ensuring that funders are kept informed of program outcomes
and financial expenditures.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in writing successful grant proposals for large-scale funding,
particularly from government agencies, foundations, and corporate CSR
programs.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to convey
complex information clearly and persuasively.
Strong research skills to identify and analyze potential funding sources.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
Familiarity with the funding landscape in Africa is highly desirable.
Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to
detail.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
