Job Summary
The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing and implementing commercial policies and strategies that support business growth, client retention, and profitability across Nigeria and West Africa. This role involves managing high-value customer accounts, driving sales initiatives, ensuring interdepartmental collaboration, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction on commercial planning to ensure alignment with business development and sales goals.

Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire and convert new prospects, expanding the companys market presence.

Manage key customer accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth, in line with budget expectations.

Oversee contract renewals and tender processes to secure continued partnerships and prevent revenue loss.

Lead product development initiatives and coordinate successful market launches.

Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to plan and present Fleet Capex requests.

Work closely with operations leadership to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.

Monitor ERP system effectiveness to ensure accurate reporting on rental fleet usage and availability.

Conduct regular customer and market satisfaction surveys to drive service improvements.

Drive lead generation and qualification activities to create new revenue opportunities.

Manage and optimize on-hire and off-hire processes to meet performance targets.

Provide leadership and oversight to the sales team, ensuring excellence in execution and service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree with NYSC discharge certificate (mandatory).

Minimum of 10 years experience in a commercial role, with at least 5 years in senior Customer Service, Sales, or Business Development positions within a multinational company.

Membership in relevant professional bodies is an advantage.

Demonstrated expertise in managing contracts, budgets, and commercial risks.

Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier/customer relationships.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging key stakeholders.

Strong foundation in pricing, cost control, and profitability analysis.
