Our client in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking to hire qualified candidates to fill the below position
Job Title: HR Officer
Location; Victoria Island Lagos
Industry experience required: Oil and Gas, Engineering, Construction or similar sector
Job Summary:
The HR Officer manages various aspects of the employment process, including recruitment,
orientation, and training. You will also provide excellent employee support and be responsible for
administrative tasks, personnel documentation, and record keeping.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain and regularly update a database of employee records.
Drive the development of a positive work environment to enhance talent retention and employee performance.
Create and maintain a database of suitable and competent candidates
Develop and review Job Descriptions across all departments in the company.
Prepare employee contracts in line with company rules and applicable laws
Maintain FTW records and updating medical baseline and reporting
Maintain training information and maintaining training records.
Answer employee questions and inquiries about policies, benefits, and employment-related issues
Coordinate periodic employee engagement surveys to provide relevant insight for management decisions on HR policies, employment conditions, etc.
Manage employee relations (grievance, discipline, and conflict resolution).
Prepare periodic Human Resources and Administration report
Any other tasks that may be assigned.
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively participate in HSE activities, including toolbox meetings and HSE meetings.
Proactively Identify hazards and assess risks related to Human Resources activities.
Involved in the identification of environmental aspects and impact, including the consideration of environmental impact as regards administrative functions.
Liaises with HSE and vendors to conduct job hazard analysis as applicable.
Identify and notify the HSE manager of any legal or other requirements related to Human Resources.
Ensure the establishment of HSE objectives before February each year.
Complies with all health, safety environmental as well as legal requirements to which the company subscribes
QMS RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively take part in QMS activities and processes
Ensure Quality Objectives are set, tracked, and monitored accordingly
Complies with company quality policy as well as regulatory and legal requirements to which the company subscribes to
Ensure risks and opportunities are identified and established
Ensure the Stakeholders Matrix is established
QMS conformance and customer-focus promotion
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The HR Officer should have a Minimum of B. Sc/B. A/HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Social Science related field from a recognized University.
Membership in CIPM, HRCI, CIPD SHRM, etc. is an added advantage.
Work Experience
Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in an HR Administrator role in an Oil & Gas, Construction, or Engineering company.
