Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas Servicing & Design)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in oil and gas servicing, consulting, and design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems in oil and gas operations. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for oil and gas servicing operations.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and feasibility studies to improve system efficiency.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, pipelines, and pressure vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions.
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations to enhance mechanical system reliability.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, technical reports, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical support for procurement, vendor selection, and material specifications.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and risk assessments for project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in oil and gas servicing, consulting, or mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or other mechanical design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, rotating equipment, and structural mechanics in oil and gas operations.
  • Familiarity with codes and standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as COREN, PMP, or ASME membership.
  • Hands-on experience in offshore/onshore projects within oil and gas.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software for mechanical system design and analysis.
