Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: VI, Lagos

Reports to: Senior Finance Officer

Job Summary

Our client, an Oil & Gas company, located in VI, Lagos, is hiring a Finance Analyst. The candidate would be responsible for providing support to the finance function.

Responsibilities:

  • Posting of transactions on SAP.

  • Insert customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits.

  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry.

  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output.

  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents.

  • Apply data program techniques and procedures.

  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations.

  • Scan documents and print files, when needed.

  • Keep information confidential.

  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.

  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.

  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions.

Qualification/ Required Competencies/ Person Specification:

  • At least BSc in Accounting/ Finance or any business-related course

  • Knowledge of accounting principles

  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of business and official matters.

  • Proven data entry work experience

  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP, MS Office, and data programs - Familiarity with administrative duties

  • Experience using office equipment, like photocopier and scanner. - Typing speed and accuracy

  • Attention to detail.

  • Confidentiality

  • Organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills

  • Core accounting skills

  • Sound oral & written communication

  • Excellent team spirit

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
