To drive the sales and distribution of petroleum products from the depot. The role focuses on maximizing sales revenue by identifying and building relationships with bulk buyers, monitoring market trends, negotiating sales contracts, and ensuring that all sales processes comply with company policies. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow depot product sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with depot operations to ensure product availability and smooth loading and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company pricing policies, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor credit sales exposure and manage risks to reduce bad debts.
  • Maintain an updated database of clients and prospective customers.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis for management.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the logistics and product loading teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products.
  • Lead sales efforts to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Ensure proper documentation of sales transactions and communication with clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to close out pending tasks, align on operational needs, and improve customer service.
  • Other tasks s assigned by line manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in the oil and gas sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of depot operations, petroleum product sales, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory and safety standards in petroleum sales is an advantage.
