About the job Business Development Executive

Our client, an IT Solutions company, is hiring a Business Development Executive. As our business development executive, you will drive business growth within all sectors. The role would involve developing strategies for acquisition of new customers and accounts across all verticals while managing the relationship with existing customers to maximize profitability and revenues. You will also be responsible for large project sales within assigned verticals.



Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategy for business expansion in all sectors in line with the organizations goals and strategy.

  • Develop and successfully execute sales strategies to exceed the sales and profitability targets across verticals.

  • Redefine, build, manage and consistently track the pipeline of prospects/leads for timely conversion.

  • Must be able to apply technical expertise, excellent market and business management skills necessary for dealing with specific, high-level target audiences.

  • Use of the internal tools to deliver highly accurate forecasts that identify revenue and timing of all projects, resulting in a qualified pipeline of prospects and detailed input.

  • Effective execution and management of specific business plans/actions through regular meetings and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to deliver compelling sales pitch/presentations that can address customers needs and requirements using the organizations solutions.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate and work with other departments, such as finance, marketing, product, project, and customer experience, to coordinate efforts to achieve the best results.

  • Ability to provide feedback regarding market trends, pricing, and competition to commercial operations including win/loss analysis.

  • Must be able to build strategic business relationships with C-level and key decision makers/ stakeholders.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • A university degree in Engineering, IT or a Business-related degree.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience within market segments & industry Technology and Fintech space.

  • An MBA will be an added advantage.

  • Strong background in sales, proposal, and business development.

  • Ability to understand the customers technical and application needs, to promote the appropriate TBOs offer that best meets the customer requirements.

  • Strong Business analytics, commercial skills, and proven sales track record.

  • Ability to evaluate and target potential customers (penetration, attractiveness, accessibility), to best allocate resources, verify opportunities and build customer action/ business plan.

  • Experience in acquiring new customers, account management and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing sales and orders targets.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Salary: N250,000-300k net (Negotiable)
