Job Summary

Our client, a real estate company, located in Ibadan and Lagos, is hiring an experienced Accountant. all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budget management. The responsibilities of the Accountant include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and computing tax payments and returns. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in bookkeeping and have a keen eye for numerical accuracy. Ultimately, the Accountant will provide accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business while ensuring compliance with tax regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting transactions.

  • Prepare and project budget forecasts.

  • Ensure timely publication of financial statements.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

  • Guarantee punctual execution of bank payments.

  • Calculate taxes and facilitate the preparation of tax returns.

  • Supervise balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

  • Provide detailed reports on the company's financial health and liquidity.

  • Conduct audits on financial transactions and documents.

  • Strengthen confidentiality of financial data and execute necessary database backups.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Required Competencies/ Person Specification


  • Proven work experience as an Accountant.

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks.

  • Proficiency in advanced MS Excel functions, including Vlookups and pivot tables.

  • Familiarity with general ledger functions.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.

  • Additional certification (ICAN or ACA) is considered a plus.

  • Age- 27-38 years of age


Salary: N150k net monthly
