Job Title: Finance Officer
Location: Ikoyi Lagos State.

Job Summary: The Finance Officer shall be responsible for implementing financial policies and procedures to improve overall financial management and governance, and ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and employees.
Experience: 2-3years
Salary: #250,000 gross

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve overall financial management and governance.
- Manage the budgeting process and monitor financial performance to ensure financial goals are met.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of goods and services.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and employees.
- Analyze financial data and provide reports to management to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Streamline financial reporting and analysis processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage budgets for various departments and projects.
- Lead and manage a team of finance and procurement professionals, providing training, coaching, and feedback as needed. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Provide training and support to employees on financial and procurement processes and policies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of financial and procurement policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Banking and Finance.
- Relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage.
- Key knowledge in Accounting Software (QuickBooks or Xero) for financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
