Position Title: Business Development Manager

Purpose: To identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for the company, ensuring
sustainable growth through strategic planning, targeted sales efforts, and market
analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities aligned with
company goals.
Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, aligning strategies to exceed company
objectives.
Ensure regular monitoring and management of the NipeX portal, identifying
relevant opportunities, and coordinating timely submission of required
documentation.
Screen, prepare, and manage tenders for new contracts, including analysing
market strategies, deal requirements, and financial evaluations.
Lead contract negotiations and facilitate the execution of business agreements.
Analyse market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments to
position the company competitively.
Collaborate with internal teams to close out pending tasks, align on operational
needs, and improve customer service.
Establish and maintain strong client relationships, fostering long-term business
partnerships.
Maintain an updated database of clients and prospective customers.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis for
management.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain high levels of client
satisfaction.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and
seamless project delivery.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasted
business development outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:
Achieving sales and revenue growth targets.
Securing new contracts via NipeX and other tender processes.
Maintaining updated records of market insights and client interactions.
Accuracy of sales forecasts and reporting
Compliance with credit policies and reduction of bad debts
Key Skills,Experience and Qualifications required:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
8+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in the oil and gas sector.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client
relationships.
Strong knowledge and experience of depot operations, petroleum product
sales, and market trends.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM
