Job Title: Chemical Engineer
Location: Niger Delta Region
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in the Oil and Gas sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design, optimization, and implementation of chemical processes related to oil and gas production and refining. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop chemical processes for the extraction, refining, and transportation of oil and gas.
- Conduct feasibility studies and perform process simulations to optimize operations.
- Analyze process data and troubleshoot operational issues to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to ensure all operations adhere to regulations and best practices.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to enhance production reliability.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project proposals and presentations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety audits for chemical processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 5 of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with refinery operations and design.
- Knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas processes.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent.
