Senior Manager, Product Engineering and Development

Our client is seeking a visionary and highly skilled Head of Product Management & Innovation to lead and drive product strategy, development, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership

Define and execute a visionary product roadmap that aligns with our client's business objectives and customer needs.

Drive the development and continuous improvement of fintech and AI-powered payment solutions.

Identify emerging trends in payments, banking-as-a-service (BaaS), and AI-driven fintech innovations.

Innovation & AI Integration

Leverage AI and machine learning to enhance product features, personalization, fraud detection, and automation.

Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid prototyping, and iterative development to test and validate new fintech innovations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, compliance, management, marketing, and sales teams to align product goals with overall business strategy.

Act as the primary advocate for the product vision across internal and external stakeholders.

Technical & Platform Expertise

Utilize cloud computing, cybersecurity, and blockchain applications to enhance fintech solutions.

Ensure platform scalability, security, and regulatory compliance to support future growth.

Project & Agile Product Management

Apply Agile, Scrum, and Lean methodologies to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.

Define OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and KPIs to measure product performance and business impact.

Customer-Centric Experience & Market Fit

Implement data-driven decision-making using customer analytics, A/B testing, and user behavior insights

Optimize UI/UX for superior customer engagement and retention.

Risk & Compliance Management

Oversee regulatory compliance (e.g., CBN, PCI-DSS, GDPR, AML/KYC) and proactively mitigate operational risks.

Implement AI-driven fraud detection and security measures to safeguard financial transactions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

10+ years of progressive experience in product development roles within the fintech industry, focusing on payment platforms and technology solutions.

Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in fintech, open banking, and payment security.

Industry Experience:

Experience working with banks, regulators, and third-party payment processors; proven leadership in managing complex fintech platforms, digital wallets, APIs, and embedded finance solutions.

Leadership & Communication:

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
