Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking to hire qualified candidates for the below position and locations
Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Lagos and Port Harcourt, Nigeria
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Achieve SHEQ objectives
- Effectively manage Electrical & Instrumentation contractors.
- Establish and maintain effective communication systems.
- Support the Maintenance Execution Team strategies to ensure that the business delivers products and services in full and on time.
- Work with the Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Management Team to improve customer service.
- Manage and perform the rectification of failed instrumentation, calibration of specialized instrumentation (analytical, pressure, flow, level, and temperature measurement) and troubleshooting on major instrumentation and control systems.
- Participate in major maintenance planning by providing leadership in deciding instrumentation scopes, based on up-to-date condition information, best practice, and performance history of instrumentation equipment and systems.
- Manage SCADA systems, PLC programming troubleshooting (Siemens and Allen Brandley) and plant process upgrade.
- Ensure that all maintenance work in scope is recorded As found and As Left using the SAP PM system and assist the team in the identification of bad actors, and future threats to equipment reliability from EAM and CBM data.
- Participate in, and where required lead, the RCFA process for failed instrumentation and control systems.
- Manage improvement projects in terms of Instrumentation and control scope delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
- This position requires regular travel to maintain plants. Future Development into the ITC area is an additional requirement.
- Maintain all process instruments at optimal performance in all sites.
Qualifications and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must be a Nigerian Citizen.
- Age 25 - 35 years
- Experienced in Electrical Light Current / Instrumentation Engineering, in an operational environment with Process Instrumentation, SCADA and PLC programming.
- Experience working with ASU or CO2 plants will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer in a manufacturing company
- Must have strong interpersonal and the ability to work under pressure.
