Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos State
Our client, an asset management company, is hiring a Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring the cost-effectiveness of construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints while maintaining high-quality standards
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and other related expenses.
Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide insights to optimize project budgets
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and employees.
Analyze financial data and provide reports to management to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support decision-making.
Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate quantity calculations.
Conduct periodic site visits to assess the quality of work and identify potential cost implications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of project requirements.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary: N200K
