Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos State



Our client, an asset management company, is hiring a Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring the cost-effectiveness of construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints while maintaining high-quality standards

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and other related expenses.

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide insights to optimize project budgets

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and employees.

  • Analyze financial data and provide reports to management to support decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.

  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support decision-making.

  • Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate quantity calculations.

  • Conduct periodic site visits to assess the quality of work and identify potential cost implications.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of project requirements.




REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.

  • Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: N200K
