Our client, a reputable company in the Oil & Gas / EPC sector, is seeking to hire a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to lead and oversee quality management efforts across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will ensure all construction activities and deliverables comply with applicable standards, codes, and client specifications, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a corporate Quality Control Program aligned with ISO 9001 and industry best practices.

Supervise inspection and testing of materials, equipment, and installation activities.

Conduct surveillance inspections on-site, including those of subcontractors.

Review and validate Quality Plans, ITPs, WPS, PQRs, and NDE procedures submitted by contractors and suppliers.

Coordinate and support internal and external audits; manage non-conformities and drive corrective/preventive actions.

Ensure compliance with industry codes (e.g., ASME, API), project specifications, and HSE policies.

Maintain accurate quality documentation including inspection reports, weld maps, and test records.

Submit regular quality performance reports and KPIs to project management.

Evaluate and approve vendor quality documentation and qualifications of welders/NDT personnel.

Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, promoting quality awareness and knowledge sharing across the project team.

Integrate lessons learned and continuous improvement practices into project execution.

Ensure turnover of final documentation and support certification audits as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:

B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

COREN-registered Engineer.

CSWIP 3.1 Certification.

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification.

ASNT Level II in UT, RT, MPI, and LPI.

Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in QA/QC roles within Oil & Gas or EPC projects.

Deep understanding of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ANSI) and Nigerian regulations.

Demonstrated ability to lead QA/QC teams across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases.

Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

CQE, CQA or other professional certifications in Quality Management are an advantage.
