Our client in the FMCG is seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand Activation Manager to join their marketing team. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and manage brand activation strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement. The Brand Activation Manager will play a key role in driving marketing initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful execution of brand campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing the annual marketing plan(s) for the market (ensuring local relevance).
  • Execute effectively all brand activity to the approved marketing plan and promotions calendar(s), including promotions, social media, web, digital, events, and activations.
  • Seek new opportunities to deliver against the brand plan and/or improve the plan by ensuring locally relevant and effective.
  • Implement and manage media plans.
  • They are ensuring that expenditure and brand objectives are delivered on.
  • Liaise with advertising agencies, strategic alliance partners, and suppliers on advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Manage the brand CRM program, encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty.
  • Provide forecasts for promotions to minimize write-off costs.
  • Support menu optimization about promotional pricing, menu pricing strategy, and menu mix to achieve targeted average GPs and deliver value to the brands customer base
  • Manage and co-ordinate menu roll-outs.
  • Utilize consumer research to gain consumer insights that drive decisions.
  • Analyse sales data and report on the performance of promotions and products.
  • Evaluate competitor pricing and report regularly.
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure nil overspend.
  • Coordinate the marketing strategy meetings.

Qualification:

  • Minimum Matric (or similar per market) with a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Marketing background/qualification an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the FMCG/Food Franchising industry in the country.
  • Previous brand marketing experience within franchising an advantage.
  • Understanding of the countrys media environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Digital Marketing and social media platforms is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & presentation skills.
  • Highly enumerate & computer literate.
  • Multi-task orientated and a self-starter.
  • Independent and able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Deadline driven.

Salary: 200k- 250k
