Worknigeria is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Oil and Gas for the below position;
Job Title: INTERNAL AUDITOR
Location: Lekki Lagos
Experience required: Minimum of 7 years experience in the Oil and Gas Construction and servicing company.
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
JOB DUTIES
Audit Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement annual audit plans.
- Conduct audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes.
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
Risk Management
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Review and assess the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting.
Reporting
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Present audit findings to senior management and the audit committee.
Follow-Up
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been taken.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
SKILLS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CITN is an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years experience in Internal auditing preferably in similar industry field
Familiar with industry specific regulations and compliance requirements.
