Job Purpose
The Head, Cloud Technical will oversee the entire Technical Department of Cybercloud, combining deep technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver secure, efficient, and cost-effective cloud solutions. This role drives the companys cloud strategy, manages infrastructure, ensures compliance, leads migrations, optimizes costs, and builds high-performing teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team in identifying, designing, and implementing optimal cloud-based solutions for Cybercloud.
- Develop and execute cloud strategies, roadmaps, and architectures aligned with business goals.
- Manage the planning, design, development, and deployment of cloud solutions, including upgrades and daily operations.
- Oversee infrastructure maintenance and ensure operational excellence across systems, servers, storage, and networks.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, governance frameworks, and international best practices.
- Lead cloud migration and deployment projects, including Data Center initiatives.
- Manage vendor/service provider relationships (CSPs, Rack Centre, Veeam, Broadcom, WebPro for WaaS) to ensure optimal delivery and ROI.
- Implement cost optimization strategies for cloud computing and technical operations.
- Establish geographically redundant services to support business continuity.
- Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Lead team training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
- Foster a research-driven culture to drive innovation and process improvement.
- Conduct technical presentations for stakeholders, simplifying complex concepts.
- Recommend and implement strategies to streamline systems for efficiency and performance.
- Maintain high technical quality standards through quality control and assurance processes.
- Apply advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, networking, and negotiation skills to proactively address challenges.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Cloud certifications (VMware, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Solutions Architect).
- ITIL, PMP, or Agile certifications.
- Minimum 10 years relevant management/leadership experience.
- Minimum 7 years experience leading a technical or R&D team.
- Advanced knowledge of local/international industry trends, standards, and regulations (desirable).
- Advanced knowledge of systems, server, and storage administration (desirable).
- Intermediate knowledge of software scripting, security, and administration standards (desirable).
- Advanced knowledge of local IT policies, standards, and management (essential).
- Advanced knowledge of technical/network solution development (essential).
