About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing BIM Modeler to develop and coordinate detailed plumbing models and shop drawings for commercial, multi-unit residential, and mixed-use projects.

This role requires more than drafting. You will review project requirements, identify conflicts, coordinate plumbing systems with other building trades, and update models based on engineering comments and ongoing coordination meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Model complete plumbing systems in Revit 2026, including sanitary, storm, water supply, and condensate systems.
  • Develop coordinated plumbing shop drawings from engineering plans and specifications.
  • Model underground plumbing systems, sleeves, and slab penetrations.
  • Coordinate plumbing layouts with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Coordinate fixtures and plumbing requirements with reflected ceiling plans.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
  • Review architectural and structural revisions and update plumbing models accordingly.
  • Address comments and revisions from plumbing engineers and project managers.
  • Identify functional conflicts and propose practical solutions.
  • Complete annotations, elevation tags, RCP updates, and related drawing details.
  • Review work for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience with commercial, multi-unit residential, or mixed-use projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of sanitary, storm, water distribution, condensate, and underground plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, including IPC, UPC, or applicable local codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Experience coordinating plumbing systems across multiple building trades.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to respond quickly to revisions and project coordination requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Navisworks and clash detection workflows.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
  • Experience with gas systems.
  • Familiarity with MSuite.
