About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural BIM Modeler to develop detailed 3D structural models for commercial, multi-unit residential, and mixed-use projects.
You will build and maintain accurate Revit models using structural and architectural CAD files, coordinate frequent revisions, identify conflicts, and work closely with an in-house Project Manager. This role requires someone who can independently analyze plans, resolve modeling issues, and produce clean, organized work.
Responsibilities
- Develop complete structural models in Revit 2026, including columns, beams, slabs, footings, foundations, and pile caps.
- Convert structural engineering CAD and DWG files into accurate 3D Revit models.
- Create properly aligned Revit models with accurate levels, elevations, and structural elements.
- Model reflected ceiling plans in 3D for units and closets.
- Import, overlay, clean, and coordinate 2D architectural backgrounds.
- Verify consistency between structural drawings, architectural drawings, PDFs, and Revit models.
- Update models and replace backgrounds as structural and architectural revisions are issued.
- Identify coordination conflicts and recommend practical solutions.
- Perform clash detection and coordinate across architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Prepare organized sheets, title blocks, and prints in CAD and PDF formats.
- Use Autodesk Viewer and Bluebeam Revu to support model review and coordination.
- Review work carefully before submission to minimize errors and corrections.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience with commercial, multi-unit residential, or mixed-use projects.
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit. The company currently uses Revit 2026.
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency, including DWG cleanup, background referencing, file conversion, and printing.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Viewer and Bluebeam Revu.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks and clash-detection workflows.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, including beams, columns, slabs, footings, and foundations.
- Ability to interpret complex structural and architectural drawings.
- Experience verifying elevations across DWG files, PDFs, and Revit models.
- Experience modeling reflected ceiling plans in 3D.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently, manage revisions, and respond promptly.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST
