CFO- Chief Financial Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CFO with expertise in fund administration and investor relations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in private Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Mortgage Investment Corporations (MICs), and Limited Partnership (LP) offerings. The successful candidate will be responsible for interacting with investor advisors and stakeholders, providing strategic long-term planning, managing full-cycle accounting for private REITs, MICs, and LPs, and ensuring compliance with tax reporting requirements for trusts, corporations, and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with investors advisors and stakeholders to address accounting and financial inquiries, provide updates, and foster strong investor relations.
- Manage full-cycle accounting for private REITs, MICs, and LPs, including financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax reporting obligations for trusts, corporations, and partnerships, staying up-to-date with relevant tax regulations.
- Utilize Yardi software to perform accounting and financial functions efficiently.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of exempt market offerings and their impact on financial statements.
- Provide strategic long-term planning to optimize financial performance, mitigate risks, and achieve investment goals.
- Assist and respond to due diligence reviews conducted by other registrants, providing accurate and timely information and addressing any concerns.
Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-designation experience in fund administration, private REITs, MICs, and LP offerings.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes and practices for private REITs, MICs, and LPs.
- Proficiency in tax reporting requirements for trusts, corporations, and partnerships.
- Experience working with Yardi software or similar accounting systems.
- Familiarity with exempt market offerings and their impact on financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with investor advisors and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism
