LATAM Partners is seeking a Construction Estimator to work for a Washington-based company from our offices in Guadalajara. The Construction Estimator will prepare accurate budgets for a range of construction activities, focusing on U.S. measurement systems and standards. This role involves evaluating project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure precise financial forecasting.



Role and Responsibilities:

Analyze designs and specifications to identify and evaluate costs for each aspect of the project.

Prepare accurate and competitive budgets for medium and large construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Conduct take-offs from blueprints and other construction documents using U.S. measurement systems.

Develop and maintain budgets while staying updated on cost variations and market trends.

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate terms for materials and equipment.

Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals.

Use advanced estimating tools and software to optimize estimating processes.

Assess project risks and incorporate them into cost forecasts.



Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or Cost Assistant in Mexico, with a strong understanding of local practices and standards.

Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, REVIT) and Excel.

Strong understanding of construction processes, U.S. measurement systems, and materials.

Desired English Level: A2-B1 to effectively communicate with the Washington-based team and clients.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
