Senior Data Analyst

Job Brief:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the analysis of complex datasets to extract actionable insights and trends.
• Design and implement statistical models and algorithms to solve business problems.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and metrics for measuring performance.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends.
• Conduct A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of business initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
• Mentor junior analysts and guide data analysis techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or related fields.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from relational databases.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/seaborn.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and clustering.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
• Knowledge of data mining techniques and tools for exploratory analysis.
• Experience working in agile environments and using version control systems such as Git.
• Certification in data analysis or related fields from recognized institutions.
• Contributions to open-source projects or participation in the data analysis community.
