Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Upstream Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience in upstream process development and manufacturing, with expertise in cell culture, fermentation, and bioreactor operations. You will play a key role in optimizing upstream processes, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with commissioning and qualification of upstream equipment such as bioreactors, media prep systems, and related utilities.
  • Supporting development and review of process documentation, including SOPs, protocols, and batch records.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including process engineering, validation, automation, and QA.
  • Participating in tech transfer, process readiness, or troubleshooting activities as needed.
  • Providing on-the-floor support for upstream operations and process execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in upstream process development or manufacturing.
  • Hands-on expertise in bioreactor operations, process scale-up, and cell culture techniques.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and industry best practices.
  • Experience with process analytical technology (PAT) and data-driven process optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
