Position Overview
The Commercial Operations Specialist supports day-to-day customer service and order management activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer orders from order receipt through delivery. This role involves close coordination with internal teams and logistics partners to support order-to-cash operations and shipment execution. The position is well-suited for individuals looking to gain hands-on exposure to customer service and logistics operations in a structured corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer service inquiries related to orders, deliveries, and basic account matters in a professional and timely manner
- Process customer orders accurately in internal systems and ensure completeness of required documentation
- Support end-to-end order-to-cash (O2C) activities, including order entry, order tracking, and delivery follow-up
- Liaise with logistics, warehouse, and shipment partners to coordinate deliveries and resolve shipment-related issues
- Monitor order status and proactively follow up on delays, discrepancies, or customer requests
- Assist in handling order amendments, returns, replacements, and basic billingrelated queries
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and shipment details
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as sales, supply chain, and finance to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Adhere to internal procedures, service standards, and compliance requirements
- Perform general administrative and ad-hoc support duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields
- At least 1 year of customer service, order processing, or administrative experience
- No SAP experience required; training will be provided
- Basic understanding or interest in logistics, supply chain, or order management processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work within timelines
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and customer-focused mindset
