The Salesforce Business Analyst should have a solid understanding of media process execution, especially when leveraging Experience Cloud technology, coupled with knowledge of the media industry. Additionally, a good grasp of the core principles behind customer experience-driven solutions is advantageous.
The primary responsibility of a BA involves executing discovery from a business analysis perspective, work on requirements elaboration and stories preparation.
Here are detailed activities including specified responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of EPICs (big, high-level user stories) that align with long-term business objectives and strategies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify major features and functionalities required within the Experience Cloud, documenting these needs as EPICs which provide scope and direction for detailed user story development.
- Regularly review and adjust the backlog in response to shifting business priorities or feedback from ongoing implementations.
- Conduct analysis to understand different user types (personas) that will be interacting with the Experience Cloud platform.
- Map specific needs, behaviors, and expectations of each persona to the features and design of the platform, ensuring that all functional and non-functional requirements address the distinct needs of these personas.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders to validate and refine persona definitions and alignments.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and development teams to outline and define the Business Process Architectures at two levels: Level 1 (high level) and Level 2 (more detailed).
- Document and communicate how business processes are supported within the Experience Cloud, ensuring they are configured to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Offer consultative support in discussions and decisions around BP architecture configurations, focusing on best practices and strategic alignment.
- Break down EPICs into manageable user stories that clearly describe the features and functions that developers need to implement.
- Define clear and measurable acceptance criteria for each user story, providing a basis for testing and validating the implemented features.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, focusing on refining and adjusting user stories based on ongoing feedback and project evolution.
Must-have skills
- The ability to prepare requirements and user stories
- Strong presentation skills.
- Salesforce Admin Certified
- 3+ years of Salesforce experience or equivalent
- An understanding of media processes
- Experience Cloud Certified
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
