Overview: Project Manager
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to organize our technology and software design teams. Your main responsibility will be to support and oversee our development team in Latin America, assigning duties and tracking progress to ship updates on deadline, and liaising with our US team to coordinate the business requirements and SRS of our product as they move through the Agile workflow. You'll manage timelines, resolve problems, and coach team members on Agile methodologies. Ultimately, youll help create self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints, and help to grow our leadership group when we add a scrum master in the near future. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques, and the ability to coordinate people and projects (occasionally facilitating changes) with a mind set on deliverables.
This position is located in Mexico and constantly communicates with our California offices; proficient English language skills are required.
What you'll be doing here:
- Meet with company leadership to discuss project plans and requirements
- Plan projects with team members to create a structure for the completion of the project
- Communicate project requirements and individual responsibilities to team members
- Delegate tasks to team members to keep the project on schedule, using knowledge of individual skills to best deploy each team member Coordinate with other teams and departments to ensure cross-pollination of efforts to complete the project
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to meet project goals
- Advise team members to help them complete their tasks and activities more efficiently
- Assess performance metrics at the completion of each sprint/project to identify areas for improvement and elements of success Leverage the full Jira Software Platform (Epics, Stories, Dashboards, Components, Releases, and Project Pages) to manage each project's scope and timeline
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
- Maintain productivity dashboards and monitor burndown/burnup charts
- Work with the product owner and development team in sprint planning sessions, handling backlogs and new requests Help build a productive environment where team members "own" the product and enjoy working on it
- Assist product owner in documentation of feature roadmaps, forecasting timelines, and communicating status to leadership and stakeholders Lead prioritization efforts for feature requests, improvements, and bug fixes
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience as a Project Manager or Product Owner
- Familiarity with enterprise software development and architecture
- Previous experience in the logistics, operations, order management, or ERP software space
- Mastery of Agile and SAFe methodologies
- Expert-level operation of Confluence and JIRA, and comfort with the Atlassian ecosystem as a whole
- Experience managing and communicating with remote team members
- Ability to leverage different sprint planning approaches
- Highly proficient English language skills.

Please note: This can be a remote position; however, the development team is situated in or near Guadalajara/Zapopan, Mexico. Proximity would be ideal; we'll host teambuilding activities from here, and most team members head to the office to work in person a few times a month.
