We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of Australian Public Practice experience, a passion for client engagement and managing their own client portfolio, as well as a love for leading a team of accountants.

Job summary:

Your responsibilities will include overseeing client accounts, providing strategic financial advice, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and fostering strong client relationships. Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial needs are met and providing exceptional service.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic financial advice.
  • Manage tax compliance, including the preparation and lodgement of tax returns, staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, managing team workloads and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Assist clients with business planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting, identifying opportunities for financial improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal accounting processes and systems, implementing best practices.
  • Participate in the development and execution of firm-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of their financial needs.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new business development and client acquisition.

Skills and experience:

  • 8 years of Australian Public Practice experience.
  • Experience managing a client base.
  • High level of integrity / honesty.
  • Xero Practice Management (XPM), Xero Tax.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Communicate effectively with all staff, clients, and management.
