- $75,000 - $85,000, plus Super (depending on experience).

Position Summary:
The Intermediate Accountant will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to our clients. This position involves preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of individual, company, partnership, and trust tax returns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing their accounting and tax-related needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Experience Required:
- CPA or working towards CPA qualifications desirable.
- 3+ years of experience in Australian public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
- SMSF experience desirable, but not necessary.
- Proficiency in accounting software Xero and QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
