About the Role:

We're on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to join our Production Accounting Team. You'll deliver precise, insightful accounting work that helps small businesses thrive. This isn't just compliance, this is partnership, strategy, and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing client files for accuracy
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and process period-end journals
  • Prepare and lodge IAS and BAS
  • Prepare annual income tax returns for all Australian entity types, including individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs (ideal but not essential)
  • Provide general tax insights on key issues such as Div 7A, franking credits, profit distributions, and GST
  • Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds
  • Preparation of financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards
  • Stay current on Australian tax legislation and accounting standards, and share insights with the team
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance workflow and service delivery

What Were Looking For

  • 4+ years of Australian tax experience in a public practice firm
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Xero (Blue & Green)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
