The Role:

We're looking for a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant based in the Philippines to join our remote team. You'll be working on Australian clients in conjunction with the accounting team, preparing tax returns, financial statements, and helping with compliance and reporting.

This is a great fit for someone who has solid experience in Australian public practice and is comfortable managing multiple client files independently.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and review financial statements (Australian standards)
  • Prepare income tax returns and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
  • Process year-end financials
  • Assist with payroll services in Xero
  • Support tax planning and analysis
  • Support tax advice and research
  • Other tax matters that may arise from time to time
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with all Australian tax laws
  • Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Australian public accounting
  • Proficient in Xero (required)
  • Knowledge of SMSFs (nice to have, but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax rules and compliance
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
